I think the time is right for me to try a lined jacket and I have *so many questions.* I’ve made coats before, so I’m not too intimidated by the techniques, but how on earth do I do a muslin for a lined jacket? I don’t need both sleeves, but do I need the collar? Should I make the muslin from the lining pattern? Is this a Swedish Tracing Paper situation or a regular tracing paper and muslin fabric job?
I can pin a shoulder pad in place, at least I figured that much out!
(If you’re curious: it’s the Vogue 1870, semi fitted, lined, below hip length, with shoulder pads.)
