EEE and a 6pm curfew…
Mass health officials have imposed a 6 p.m. curfew on outdoor activities after an 80-yo man tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis(EEE). The mosquito-borne illness can lead to brain swelling, seizures, behavior changes, etc, has a fatality rate of 30% & few recover without serious sequelae. Unfortunately, no treatment exists. #medicine #press
