When I went to the audiologist to get my BAHA “tuned” (EQ basically, for all my music/sound nerds) and he showed me how to operate it and turned it on, it was amazing.
I could hear SO MUCH MORE SOUND.
The audiologist said even though I had just doubled my hearing, it would feel like I had tripled it, b/c of how sensitive my other ear and brain had become to sound, to adapt for my disability.
I could hear the AIR blowing through the hospital!
(It was the HVAC.)
