Never saw Survivor until my wife's recent binge, and there's one thing I don't get. How did Jeff Probst become a phenomenon? It was a wildly popular show, I get it, and nothing against the guy, but I can't figure out what he brings to the table that a thousand other pretty Hollywood faces couldn't. Maybe he's tremendously talented, I dunno, but if he is, I don't see how THAT show could've been the vehicle to allow him to show it.
