The more I think about how nostr would make scan-to-identify apps better (particularly ones like MushroomID), the more reasons I find that it would just fit. To some extent, people could find other somewhat local people via found species without disclosing a bunch of personal information. Scan results could be used in nostr knowledge bases. One could zap professionals for assisting with identification where the AI fails. Or find sellers of domestic grown edibles of off wild-find results. You could run a mushroom species based WoT style relay just for foraging & learning, so real life activity takes place at the center and learning takes place at the edges, or sorted by species & related species. Scan results could link to recipes or... med-nostr stuff for safety advisories and emergency treatment info. I could probably go on. It's just one of those wishlist things so I'll stop. 😅
