It’s daunting to try to implement habits etc in my experience. Focus on the long-term vision and then act in accordance with it, one decision at a time. Don’t expect to be perfect but as long as you’re headed in that direction intentionally, you’ll be alright. You seem to naturally want to improve, so you will. It just takes time and patience.
