There's a part of me that thinks that trying to do something like that would activate Americans in a way that no one really wants (except maybe Russia and China) and another part of me that thinks the DNC could bank on Americans being too complacent to stand up to this, and it being an opportunity to jail "deplorables," and it could turn extradition into some sort of Five Eyes for political imprisonments where one country could pass a law that's illegal in another and they just use selective prosecution and extradition to round up dissenters.
