They dismiss it because they don't understand it because it's like nothing people have ever seen before.
Bitcoin is a brand new invention. A protocol for digital money.
Before Bitcoin, peer to peer digital money didn't exist.
This idea is too big for the average person to comprehend because we've always understood money to be something that belongs to governments and not to the people.
