Currently mildly irritated by seeing someone on Twitter tell a single woman in her 40s a couple of weeks post- major- breakup who’s scared that she will never find the long- lasting relationship that she wants that she’ll ‘find the right person’.
I know why people (generally the attached ones) say shit like this- a desire to comfort and reassure- but it’s profoundly unhelpful and refuses to engage with the reality of what’s being expressed.
