Oxen (TV series, haven't read books) got me thinking. As we head towards the inevitable planetary multi-crisis and existential fight for survival of humanity - who are in the best position to protect themselves: the rich. Extreme accumulation of wealth means power in our current capitalist systems.
So who is going to take care of the rest of us? Strong democratic governments which are not corrupted by the wealthy.
