Yes and no. As I understand it, not just anyone can see your IP. Only those you are intentionally connecting with. So it's not like kind4 DMs, where anyone can see exactly who is talking to who. And even your peer doesn't get your actual IP if you are connecting via a VPN according to supersu (npub1h5t…45z5) who is much more familiar with the protocol than I could ever hope to be.
