I think I get better results. DDG doesn't let their advertisers spy like Google but the advertisers are still the real customer and you are the product.
Kagi has no ads. Since you are the real customer they have cool features like domain rankings where you can say "show this domain more in my results" or "don't show this domain in my results" and it does honor it. If I do find one of those SEO word salad sites, rarer than any other search engine, I go back and block it from my results.
