But a near-100% reduction for the entire MENA region is far more suspect, to say the least. Especially when many of the communities had been living there for centuries.
Pre-Farhud Baghdad was like 1/3 Jewish, yet nobody ever asks about their right of return to the homes they were violently dispossessed of.
Remember, the Farhud took place well before Israel declared independence.
