pv 🤙 Social network 🤙 Local storage 🤙 NIP05 🤙
You can adjust your feed experience by setting the following distance limit (or turn it off entirely) from Settings / Social network. Your network starts from you and who you follow and goes forward from there.
Adjust the degree to a lesser (for example, 2 or 3) if you're experiencing performance issues with your client. Refreshing the (cmd/ctrl+R) or quitting the app and opening again can help to clear the cache.

Less relay traffic and bandwidth may come your way with the latest update. Locally stored data is getting higher for this reason as some of you already have noticed.
Now querying event histories since relay lastSeen time. That is, not querying the whole history every time you open Iris, instead continuing where you left off.
Uses a lot less bandwidth, but you might miss events with an old created_at time that were added to relays after lastSeen.

Why use Iris username?
It makes finding your profile easier with the short link iris.to/username that can be shared outside of nostr.
username@iris.to NIP05 is a search tool. Type it in the search and your profile comes up if you have set it up. Npubs are not meant to be remembered by heart when searching users.
What happens to my other NIP05 if I take the Iris username?
Nothing. You can have many NIP05 but only as active. You can change the one you want to use in your nostr profile.
NIP05 is just a feature with Iris username. You can use it or ignore it, and just use the short link.
