Without a doubt the single greatest problem we have is cowardice as a virtue. This manifests in everything from the political to interpersonal relations.
People are too cowardly to take bold stances and make forthright value judgments. People are too cowardly to commit to one person and ride or die. People are too cowardly to tell the truth when it can hurt their bottom line. People are too cowardly to admit problematic behaviors and instead resort to therapy culture and pretend bad is actually good if people just accept the lowered standard.
It's time to step over it. I just shoot straight with everyone these days and give them what I really think in deadpan.
