if you want to really learn the technology (not recommended, but i ended up going down that rabbit hole) there's not really any great resources but if you're a tech savvy person i can say that you have to understand everything you're looking at on a block explorer like etherscan: what is "gas", what is a "transaction", what is a "transfer", internal vs. external transactions, common pitfalls (e.g. the "from" address in an eth txn is just a string that can be set to anything). happy to answer questions if you have them.
worth noting that almost all blockchains are just ethereum forks (other than solana, bitcoin, and cosmos).
if you want to actually try making some API calls infura will let you do that for free.
