This is extortion. It smells like desperation and it makes the entire Company look like it is a greedy fraud.
Having to PAY for not wanting to be tracked by your website is mildly stating it, blackmail.
I cannot even reach the cookie page to find out what and how I am going to be tracked before deciding.
This feels very illegal. Just regarding the GDPR. I will have to read if anything has changed allowing the extortion of consumers.
These tracking sites and third party snoops, are a huge liability for security. If leaks happen, phishing attempts can be preformed by this collected data, and data brokers earning a ton of money from your own data.
This should concern anyone.
Specially if you just read the popup: Some tracking of PERSONAL DATA may not require your consent. Then why pay?
Using the Browser Brave mitigates this. Firefox is another alternative, in Firefox you can use the reader mode (found in the bowser bar where the address is shown, right hand side, the icon looks like a piece of paper with lines on it) .
If you use the tools correctly, you will be amazed how pleasant it is to browse the web with hardly any advertisements following you from one page to the next device, like creepy stalkers.
Research Ublock Origin, if you are not willing to leave the data kraken Chrome.
And please, do not use these companies. Deny them your money and attention, there are so many alternatives, if you want to read the article, just search it in a browser, I am sure someone else has written about it as well.
