if you take the position that using GC makes it a "bad" language then you can strike out Rust, Javascript, and Python straight off the bat as well.
if you haven't actually tried to write code in rust, which has a GC but you have to hold its hand all the way, and experienced the 3 months process of getting to being able to write a server. then you aren't qualified to talk about the benefit of GC when you can build a basic web service in Go in a weekend if you have basic understanding of programming.
3 months later, you can do the same thing in Rust.
what does this profit you? literally the stats say 5% improvement in performance.
