There are two types of significant other:
type 1: A significant other that always demands more. More cloths, jewelry, gifts, restaurants, etc. They could care less how much YOU are spending on them. They never ask if you have enough money bc they don't care, as long as their need/want is fulfilled.
type 2: A significant other that is frugal. Always asking if WE can afford it. Is able to monitor checking accounts and investments. They care if their spending will negatively impact saving/ investing performance.
in conclusion, type 2 is an asset and type 1 is a liability. Be aware.
