It's a fascinating thing. One moment I'm sitting in my tent just waking up. Then I'm getting up to start the day. How does that happen? Sometimes I articulate the thought. "OK I should get up now." But not always. And not everybody has that inner voice.
Normally, we do this stuff habitually, without thought. Routines. But when I'm camping very little is routine. I have to make decisions each step of the way. But they don't feel like I'm deciding things, just doing them. As I said, fascinating.
