Q. Will the current crisis in Higher Education lead to one or more universities falling into insolvency?
Well, the Office for Students has just opened a tender for a £2m-£4m contract for professional services to manage up to ten 'audits' over four year with the express aim of 'restructuring' institutions & managing 'market exit'.
So, we can safely say the OfS is expecting up to ten universities to require either merger or closure based on financial failure before 2028!
