The truth: if you’re outside freezing in the cold with no jacket and someone brings you inside and gives you a blanket and a hot soup you will go from miserable to happy... and it was stuff that made the difference.

The lie: is when you think to yourself “if a little bit of stuff made me this happy then a lot of stuff will make me that much happier”. Doesn’t work like that.
