Hot, likely unpopular take:
Subreddits, forums, working groups, etc that implement “no unrelated politics” rules are usually correct in doing so.
People use “my identity is politics” which is high level fair, but I find is often used as a “foot in the door” to insert all of one’s politics into a setting it doesn’t belong.
