The top was a total botch. I had to joint the wood to even get it to be flush, but I ended up not accounting for different thickness. It's very wavy, which is why I have it clamped here. Trying to avoid that with the bottom.
For traditional, do you mean like dovetails? Because those look insane to pull off.
