Kingfisher sapphire
Jewel of the river
A stunning blue arrow,
Darting low,
Over soft silver waters
An emblem of wonder
And love.
Buzzards mewling
Over the golden moor
And deer are flowing
like morning light
Over the lilac yarrow
Deep into the heart
Of the morning
I can hear the voice
of a single Curlew
Calling my name
Reminding me
Of where I came from
Reminding me
Of where I'm going
