Corporate owned social media is safer for Black people because:
1) There is more of a Black community there. The community keeps us safe, not the corporations.
2) People on Mastodon are willfully ignorant of how many racist people are on Mastodon. I'm running out of ways to tell people that there are more nazis per capita on the Fediverse than on Twitter. This is doubly harmful, because the non-nazi people on the Fediverse refuse to believe Black people about this fact.
