D standard with Drop C optional, 432hz, is probably the perfect tuning
Can play anything with this. Rip into Ziggy Stardust or Master of Puppets (E standard in other words) and it's big, thick, and mean, without being cartoonish and dumb.
I run 10-46 strings with that, found at any guitar store.
