TIL the British Columbia wildfire fighting service has "parattack" crews, firefighters who parachute into inaccessible areas to fight a wildfire. 48h of food and water, resupplied by airdrops, and they have to either walk back to civilization or to some place a helicopter can pick them up.
You know, just in case FIGHTING WILDFIRES isn't quite metal enough for you, why not jump out of a plane into the wilderness first.
