We're damn close to needing a Today's Disasters section in the newspapers of the world. In effect, I think we're there except for the formal title. I haven't kept notes during the past week, but (riffles through remaining brain cells) let's see:
• wildfires in Canada w/evacuations
• floods in Brazil
• big storm in Houston
• floods in Europe
• heatwaves in Asia
• record sea temperatures
• terrible drought and water shortages in Mexico
That's what I recall from casual browsing. Yikes.
