This is why I am always telling you folks it's important to read more than one book, and why I freak out and get twitchy whenever someone asks me to recommend ONE BOOK they can read to "know what is going on."
A huge part of being ABLE to test the things you're reading critically, involves having enough exposure to compare and contrast.
(also this is why folks who only read *the* one book, the Bible, are typically absolute dipshits who don't even know they're rubes but think you're the fool)
