I get that the slightly higher friction of Mastodon deters some people from joining. It would be good if more people joined. On the other hand, I wonder whether it’s this slight friction that has resulted in such a delightful, rebellious, often eclectic, and genuinely nice community on Mastodon. I like Mastodon so much better than the old Twitter, yet people on Bluesky tell me with enthusiasm that Bluesky is like old Twitter.",
