Acknowledging it’s not a plot to bankrupt US automakers doesn’t then mean the effect of importing inexpensive EV’s built in China is a net positive for the US economy, the workers at auto plants and suppliers. It may be a positive for the environment if more Americans can afford low or no emissions transportation but the disruption in the economy may be too high a price to pay.
