I’m still friends with a MAP I dated as a minor. It’s been over a decade, I’m well into my adulthood now, aging didn’t ruin our relationship. We’re still FWBs too, no one can pull the “you were just used for your youth” card, they’re nonexclusive, we just didn’t jive as romantic partners. I genuinely forget I met them as a teen sometimes, the relationship is so normal and indistinguishable from literally every other friend and fwb I have, including the ones closer to my age. The idea that MAPs will inherently traumatize the youth with intimacy or will always throw minors away is bullshit, and I’m living proof of it.
