actually i can see how old contacts can make noise when you move the cable so maybe 4 contacts would make less noise than 1 ...
but ultimately this is a hack. it's a shit connector. i understand it's a guitar ...
for audio i always use digital connections where possible and XLR where not. i never go down to RCA or TRS - that shit is for peasants !
