From my perspective as a Bitcoiner in Michigan, the Annual Lake Satoshi Retreat ( LakeSatoshi (nprofile…jxx6) ) like a powwow of all those who attend bitcoin meetups from across the state and even other close by communities in Indiana and Ohio. If someone regularly attends a Bitcoin meetup in Michigan then they will probably show up to Lake Satoshi. Lake Satoshi is the celebration and culmination of all that the Bitcoin meetups throughout the state of Michigan offer to the Bitcoiners who participate.
As described in the article what's happening in Michigan is special. A decentralized burgeoning culture built upon the cross pollination of all the many meetups happening across the state. Meetups are where we build cultural capital through the sharing of knowledge and experience with Bitcoin but also a circular economy stemming from the exchange of high quality food and healthcare goods.
