I fail to understand why a civil society needs guns.
The NRA was derived from the banned KKK, & their two slogans are "From my cold dead hands" & "The only way to stop a bad guy with a good, is with a good guy with a gun"!
How about no one having guns to start with?
In the 90s, Clinton banned assault rifles for 10 years & there was a significant drop in their use in mass shootings.
BUT just to prove the point, there was a rise in the use of less lethal automatic handguns.
