Anglish is like the exact opposite of esperanto, linguistically speaking.
One was invented to facilitate eliminating language barriers, with a heavy emphasis on romance-based vocabulary to distinguish itself from the current lingua franca (English)
The other was made to be even more exclusive, increasing the differences between English and other languages so as to retain lingual sovereignty.
Also fun fact, Minecraft has Anglish as an option, but it hardly changes anything because the vocabulary used in Minecrsft is already so down-to-earth that most come from the germanic register of the English language.
