Except that now anyone with an accent has to prove their papers at risk of life in prison. Many people don’t know they’re undocumented because their parents brought them as babies and they were never told.
Restoring the practice of slavery is a very dangerous slippery slope to authoritarianism. Unless you forget, there was a pretty bloody civil war fought to end slavery.
