Code is speech. But code that transmits value is money. Bitcoin is reified information. This is novel.
Fighting exclusively on the *code is speech* front alone will not suffice. When facing jail time or personal ruin, individual devs or CEOs will bend the knee. Julian Assange is a rare outlier. Even the most dedicated, will look out for themselves when push to the edge.
Bitcoin is money. Full stop. Separating money from state is the movement.
The fight has to be about money.
IMHO the best strategy will be to orange pill as many politicians as we can - as individual US citizens - and push for legal tender.
Same logic: when politicians own personal wealth and well-being is on the line they will choose themselves over others. None of them are loyal enough to protect the US dollar to the end. We need to leverage the selfishness in all of us to win.
