there's not a single situation where an ecash mint makes more sense than using cashapp as a custodial lightning wallet. if the mint sees a modicum of success and is doxxed enough that I could hold them accountable for rugging me, then they are able to be compelled to behave like any other kind of traditional money transmitter. if they play fast and loose and act all cyberpunk and sheeit, then there is nothing I can do when they rug me. it's a pointless system for unaccountable strangers to hold onto my pocket change.
