Dear jz.tusk at mastodon social: I can write meteorologists forecast indicates possible and potential flooding may occur next week. I myself am not a meteorologist, I do not have direct access to reliable weather recording instruments.
No I cannot write the following statement: "Heavy rains over the next week to cause flooding." I would need reliable authoritative sources of information in which to rely upon. If I should be so negligent to write "Heavy rains over the next week to cause flooding." Then there is no flooding and people in industry rely upon this incorrect weather report information, I would argumentatively be the proximate cause of financial harms to the industries that relied upon false information.
This is equal to "yelling fire in a crowded theater, when there is no fire, that results in injuries and deaths to theater patrons."
