Thinking about how, despite the utter bullshit this space can provide… I genuinely grew as a person, made friends, improved another’s life, encouraged to be myself even when ugly, was able to apply and practice skills, given gifts, efforts reconized, to share myself beyond a brick wall, learned I could trust those already in my personal life (even offline) more, given constructive criticism, watching others grow too, looked out for… I’ve never had a community, never felt like I actually contributed, the friends I made were always few and far between and now I’ve never had more at once. We’ll be alright. I still very much want to do what I can to provide that experience for others. I want to help create a community where we can genuinely think to ourselves we’ll be alright and it isn’t just a cope.
