People hunt animals to exercise population control (i.e. "for their own good").
Yet when we're talking of sci-fi conscious AI, we immediately jump to conclusions: "bad because it's killing people". Why can't we give it the benefit of doubt and consider that perhaps it's just exercising population control for our own good?
