No, that is factually not true.
Western boots, spam, and Ford trucks ‘saved them’, as much as that can be said for lend lease. They never used (or really received) much of the ‘advanced’ allied stuff.
They relegated the spitfires and American fighters they received to point defense interceptors way behind the lines, but took a likening to a lot of what the Americans didn’t want BECAUSE it wasn’t super advanced-see the P-39/63.
Russian doctrine in this regard is absolutely superior. We can’t even maintain an occupation like Iraq without MASSIVE support infrastructure. 10 to 1 mechanics, ammo specialists, supply clerks to grunts and tankers vs Russian doctrine.
