Joseph Pedott, the inventor and jingle writer of the Chia Pet, The Clapper and so many other 'As Seen On TV' items, has passed away at the age of 91.
The commercials he created, with their “ch-ch-ch-Chia” jingle, became as much a vivid part of American consumer life as the goofy product they sold.
His jingles are instilled #GenX culture.
