Bad advice I've seen for the coming heat wave:
• "Go to the beach." And sit in a traffic jam under the sun for an hour while everyone else is doing the same?
• "Wear sunblock." The damage done by UV doesn't depend on the temperature, and sunblock won't protect you from heat if you stay out in the sun when it's 95°.
Better advice: Stay inside, stay hydrated, wear light, loose clothing, and avoid excess activity outside when it's hot.
