Most likely than not Plato picked it up from some Eastern Mystery Cult (those were always a big favourite among Greeks and later Romans) Zoroastrianism for example is the blueprint for later religious Abrahamic autism and it may have an origin in the 1000s to 2000s BC
There's other stuff which predates Zoroastrianism which also dabbles in Dualism, but it isn't to the same degree. I would lay the blame for this shit at Zoroaster's feet
