#WritersCoffeeClub 3/30 Do you label your works as LGBTQIA+? Why or why not?
I have one #WIP that heavily relies on LGBTQIA+ characters, but I'm conflicted as labeling the story as such because:
1. The implication when you label is that LGBTQIA+ people are somehow "other" or abnormal. I don't label my other work as CisHet, do I?
2. At the same time, I get that a label might help readers who are passionate about LGBTQIA+ rights find my work.
Eh, let me finish writing the darn thing first.
