As a late entrant to academia (I became an 'early career researcher' at 34 & 'young lecturer' at 37) I experienced both implicit and (sometimes) explicit ageism throughout my career, so many of the issues raised in this article (below) are all too familiar....
Not only should oder people be able to continue working if they need (and want) to, not employing them represents a massive waste of both personal & social experience....
