The biggest blockers to long distance train travel are:
Poor wifi
Cramped seating
I'm on an Avanti Westcoast Pendelino crammed in like on RyanAir with shit wifi. I'm going to be frustrated after 2 hours of this.
Later today (assuming Eva Wolfangel (npub1fxr…dgxg) isn't going the same way ;-) ) I'll spend 5 productive hours on an ICE with comfortable seats and acceptable wifi.
I'll choose to take a slower but more comfortable train every time....
